Spend a fall evening gazing at the stars with the Fort Hays State University Astronomy Club led by Dr. Jack Maseberg and Dr. Paul Adams. Visit the Kansas Wetlands Education Center on Friday October 7 from 8:30-10pm for this celestial program. High-powered telescopes will be pointed towards Jupiter, Saturn and several deep-sky Messier Objects. The Andromeda Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy approximately 2.5 million light-years from Earth. The telescopes will be pointed towards M31 and nearby M32, M110, M2, M13, and M15.
Refreshments, a planetary solar system craft, and storytelling will help round out the "out of this world" evening.
