Event Details
Spring is one of the best times of year to experience birdwatching at Cheyenne Bottoms. Thousands of birds will migrate through the area this season, offering exceptional opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts. During just a couple of hours of birdwatching, it is common to tally 30-40 different species.
Waterfowl, shorebirds, wading birds, and a wide variety of wetland migrants will be the focus of these special outings. Participants are invited to join KWEC ornithologist Robert Penner for a guided birdwatching van tour and see how many species they can observe. Open to birdwatchers of all levels. Binoculars are available to participants.
