Field Biology Day Camp

Junior High and High School students, come get your hands dirty as we explore different methods of field biology experienced by experts at Cheyenne Bottoms. Participants will go Dove Banding with Tom Bidrowski, Migratory Game Bird Specialist with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, install Wood Duck Houses in the Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area with KDWP manager Jason Wagner, learn about the Cliff Swallow research project from our Fort Hays State University Graduate Assistant Sonja Brandt, and observe the innovative field projects, like virtual fencing, at The Nature Conservancy's Cheyenne Bottoms Preserve. Taking place on Friday, July 21, this day camp is limited to 10 participants. Cost of the camp is $10 and will include a snack, KWEC string bag, and a field notebook.
