Looking for a unique professional development opportunity? Educators, both formal and non-formal, join the Kansas Wetlands Education Center and the Kansas Association of Conservation and Environmental Education (KACEE) for a hybrid Teaching and Learning Outdoors Environmental Education workshop.
Educators will receive Project Wet, Project Wild Aquatic, Project Learning Tree, and Project WILD, amazing curriculum guides full of ready-made lessons and activities that are tied to cross-curricular standards. Pre and post workshop work will be completed through moodle with feedback provided by our KWEC educators.
At the in-person workshop on June 8, you will experience a selection of the activities. Getting your hands and maybe even feet wet! An optional tour of Cheyenne Bottoms, the largest wetland complex in the interior of the United States, is available before the afternoon workshop.
