Learn Drip Irrigation System Installation
Tired of dragging hoses and sprinklers around your garden every summer? There’s a simple, economical alternative – drip irrigation! And as a bonus you’ll conserve water too. The Barton County Conservation District will provide a low-pressure drip irrigation workshop, at 10 a.m., April 24, in the Kansas Wetlands Education Center pollinator garden. Sign up by emailing the conservation district: bccconservation.dis@gmail.com or calling 620-792-3346, ext. 303 and leaving a message.
Participants will learn how to install a system that can be used to water a home vegetable or flower garden. An added benefit of the workshop will be improved irrigation of the KWEC Pollinator educational garden. Information about butterfly gardening as well as tips for home drip irrigation systems will be available to take home. Come out and see how easy it is to improve gardening outcomes while also conserving one of our most precious resources.
