October Turtle Tots

What if you had an animal nose? Turtle Tots ages 3-5 are invited for a program on October 9 from 10-11am. We'll read a story by that name, discover how noses work, explore some different types of animal noses, and experiment with our own sense of smell with a science and art project.

KWEC Hunter Appreciation Breakfast

Join fellow hunters at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center Picnic Shelter after your hunt on October 10 from 8am to 12pm for a free Hunter Appreciation Breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, coffee, and juice will be served, sponsored by the Great Bend CVB.

Field Trip Opportunity

Are you schooling from home this year? Join our KWEC educators for a field trip experience. We'll split students up into two age groups, K-2 and 3-6 grades and provide two, hands-on, nature themed programs. Group sizes will be limited to 15. Click for more information.

Drop-in STEM

STEM Drop-in programs allow families the opportunity to travel to stations exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math on a central theme. These are come-and-go and free activities!
