Every winter “snow” birds come to Kansas, joining their hardy feathered friends that make Kansas a year-round home. Discover which birds travel to Kansas and how they survive winter’s cold. In addition to making a bird feeder, we’ll travel outside to find some snow birds and enter them in the national Backyard Bird Count. Binoculars will be provided or you can bring your own.
Designed for children ages 6 through 12, one-hour programs will be offered at no charge. Children age 7 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The registration deadline is Feb. 15. Although there is no program charge, donations for supplies are always appreciated.
