KWEC STEM Summer Camp-Grades 7-12

Event Details

Discover how amazing nature and technology can be when they work together. Campers will be immersed in field biology, including aquatic studies, mammal trapping, plant and animal identification at Cheyenne Bottoms, the largest inland marsh in North America and a Ramsar designated wetland of international importance.  Campers will also learn how computer science can play a role in wildlife by learning how to program using Arduino and Scratch. Drones, GPS/GIS, and smart phone apps will also be utilized.

Fee is $25 and includes snacks each day and Arduino computer kit to take home. The kit will include an Elegoo computer, breadboard, sensors, lights, resistors, and wires. These programs are for students that have completed 7th through 12th grade.
