Christmas Bird Count

dark-eyed juncoWe’re making a list of birds around Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira National Wildlife Refuge for the annual Christmas Bird Count. Join us December 14 and 18!  For more details, check out the Events Calendar.

The Audubon Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is an annual tradition where volunteers can help count early-winter birds. The CBC count period is December 14 through January 5. These counts are held all over the Americas and wherever species, which breed in the Americas, migrate. The first Christmas Bird Count was held in 1900.
