You’re invited to join the Cheyenne Bottoms Naturalists for an exciting opportunity to learn more about the natural world, participate in research opportunities, and enjoy hands on activities!
Four times a year, join us on Saturday mornings to enjoy fun activities on a variety of nature topics. Programs will run from 9 am to 12 pm, and are totally FREE!
September 10th – Small Worlds
It’s easy to miss the fascinating things going on right under our feet – so come on out to the KWEC and enjoy a fun morning of taking a closer look at these small worlds. We promise, there will be no singing! From the busy world under the KWEC pollinator garden, to the tiny interactions on our nature trail, bring to the whole family to learn about the smallest residents of Cheyenne Bottoms.
December 10th – Winter Wonderlands
Just how do the critters of Cheyenne Bottoms survive winter’s chill? Head to the KWEC to find out! From insects to mammals to birds to reptiles, learn the secrets of surviving the cold. Most activities will take place indoors, though you’re welcome to come dressed for the weather and enjoy a walk through the winter wonderland of our nature trail!
